1. When did you start blogging and why?
I started blogging in 2020. No, I opened a blog in 2020😅 but didn’t start blogging until October 2021(last year). Well, I’m not exactly sure about the reason I started blogging. As a child, I would write stories, poems and all other things a child could write, some in a bid to express my feelings and some for fun but I never thought about writing on a site or platform. I would say I just needed a way to pass time and also express my talent and I found blogging to be interesting as time passed.
2. What was your first blog post?
😂😂 My first first blog post was about food, bacon to be precise and you probably won’t find it because it has been deleted. At the time, I was in Grade 10 and I didn’t really understand the whole process so I decided to write about food but I soon discovered that it wasn’t my specialty.
3.What attracts you to a blog?
BANTER,HUMOR ( dark humor most times), REVERSE PSYCHOLOGY and the likes. I also like blogs that focus on mental health and depression but it’s mostly banter that makes me want to read a post or visit a site.
The theme and customization of a blog is another feature I’d consider before reading a blog. If I don’t like the combination of colors, I might just skip and move on to the next one.
4.How do you decide on what to write?
I don’t decide on what to write, I just write. I pick up a pen and paper or my phone and I just write the first thing that comes to mind. Sometimes, I think about what to write and there are many ideas in my head but most times those ideas don’t really go down well with me at the moment so I just keep staring at my blank screen or paper for about 5-10 minutes and then I know what I want to write about. It’s not really a good method though but that’s what I’m used to.
5. Have you ever experienced a writer’s block?
Yes, yes, yes. It has happened to me a couple of times now. My brain just goes blank and suddenly all the topics in the world disappear and there’s nothing to write about. No matter how much I think,1 hour or even a full day, I still can’t write. I guess it happens to everyone.
6. On a scale of 1-10, how has blogging been for you?
I’d give it a 7.5. Sometimes I put in a lot of effort into writing and I feel it didn’t reach the particular audience. One of my reasons for blogging is to help people and I don’t think I’ve really achieved that over time but I’m sure that eventually I’ll get there.
7. I nominate 😅(sounds like an award)
